Papirika is a movie about a machine that allows someone to enter other peoples dreams. some stuff happens and people start going crazy and so they have to find out what is going on. Im not going to put any spoilers in here but some really weird stuff starts to happen… This anime is a total trip and very fun to say the least. get on it.

Redline is about a race. a race that takes place in outer space. and is absolutly insanely crazy. its kinda on the level of Gurren Laggen insane. Redline is one of the better anime movies out there. There is no real plot aside from winning the race so it would be good for if you want to watch something that is not very hard to follow. go watch it.

my top ten favorites would be Ghost in the shell (both seasons and the movies), Baccano!, Jino’s Journey, Redline, ergo proxy, paprika, most of the studio ghibli films, akira. eh, not much of a top ten, but these are ones that have really stuck in my mind as good ones. 

I also keep on meaning to watch Eureka Seven (along with a ton of other ones that I have heard good things about) and once I finish that I will add that to the list.

also thank you for bringing this blog back to my attention, I kinda forgot about it a month ago and its just been sitting here dead. so I’m going to try and revive this thing and begin to update it again.

Samurai Champloo has and interesting mix of modern and Edo period themes. its about two samurai that are employed by a young girl in search of a sunflower scented samurai. this show is great and really fun to watch.

Ergo Proxy is a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk themed anime about this guy running away from one of the last safe cities on earth trying to get to his home, and a girl who is trying to chase him down to bring him back.  

Monster is an anime about this doctor that saves a kid from death, only to be framed by the kid years later for murder. the doctor through out the show is trying to fined this the real killer all the while learning about the kids dark past. this show is great, but also really long.

Last Exile do you like steampunk/airships? if so then you should give this amazing anime a look. its about these two couriers flying about in a war. its really great, my crappy explanation does not give it justice.

Mushishi is an anime following Ginko, a medicine seller, traveling around the country helping out people with spirit problems. its not for everyone but still really good

Baccano! This anime is about mobsters, trains, immortality, and alchemy. this is anime is simply amazing. it follows the stories of a bunch of different characters all revolving around the same plot.

Kino’s journey is an anime about Kino and a talking motorcycle going on a never ending trip, going to all sorts of new countries, each with there own little quirks. This anime is pretty amazing, if not a little strange.
